Garnet ghost town outside of Missoula, Montana.
Lonely door frame in a deserted room. Propped up against the wall with soft light coming in through a side window. Nothing but dirt on the floor.
Garnet was a bustling mining town in the late 19th century. By 1905 very little gold was left and the town had shrunken to 150 families. A fire in 1912 further reduced the population. Garnet slowly slipped into obscurity, despite a brief renewal of mining in the Great Depression of the 1930s.
