The couple
The photo was taken with a conon powershot G7 camera.
On the left , it is Plain Tiger Butterfly (Danaus chrysippus). It is the most common butterfly in India. It is found throughout the country including deserts and hills. Being unpalatable it is mimicked by the female Danaid Eggfly.
On the right, there is Striped Tiger Butterfly
( Danaus genutia ;Cramer 1779)
Very closely resembles the Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) found in the Americas.
