War Paint
This jumping spider had a very short attention span. I had to keep clicking my fingers to keep his attention. This is probably the most dramatic marking I have seen in a jumping spider. He was a really cool guy, and I liked his personality.

Wonderful affectionate essay, full of unusual and interesting details and curiosity that only someone who is a true spider person, would care to notice. And I love every single picture.

WOW! Your spider pictures are GREAT! I have always been amazed by spiders, their webs, etc. And you really have brought them to my close attention with your captures. Love all of your pictures--especially the spiders.

i've just read an article about how this spider see things..
Side eyes - wide angle vision to pick up movement
Middle front eyes - sharp, telephoto image, some colour vision
Side front eyes - binocular vision for judging distances.
