Burnt out buildings and vacant lots have sadly become the natural landscape of what was once a thriving industrial city. This building in downtown Detroit's Eastern Market district caught fire in the late 1960's, and since then has not be rebuilt or torn down. However human interaction still produces constant change throughout the building and though nothing will ever be produced here again, it remains in use as a shelter for many homeless.
