Through the window
The view from my window has become completely blocked by a large tree. However, it's a popular spot for birds on a rainy day. I captured this shot through the window and was focusing quite far into the tree giving the cool effect.

As someone trying to earn a living at photography, I look at all these images with a certain business eye, could it sell? I would blow this up poster size. Maybe it would sell, maybe not, but a great photo. It's got all kinds of elements going on.

This is quite a usual shot yet highly unusual. Maybe it's the b/w treatment, or the angle, or the fact that the face it lit up, or the blurred background.... whatever the reason, it's a great shot.
