I'm the event photographer for Dancing Horse Farm, in Lebanon, Ohio, and this past weekend they had their Carriage Driving Clinic with Andy Marcoux. Great guy and fun weekend.

I decided to take a creative chance and I shot the entire weekend with a prime 50mm. I know I would have missed this picture had I used a zoom lens.

Great capture. And if you know horses you know how true your title is.

You did the event justice, and I agree with your choice of lens, and the b&w makes for such a timeless look! And Chas, above, is so right! How many times have I apporached my horses with a saddle or bit and "heard" the same, unspoken message! Our old ex-Amish Standardbred, Tony, was the worst, "You want me to do what with this cart???" he seemed to say....and he'd stop at every post he saw when I rode him, he was so used to being strapped to a post with his Amish carriage!
