An awesome night of sushi, sake, and samurai flicks.

Vince, whom I met that night, took a few minutes for a practical sword demonstration. He taught us about Iaido, a form of Kendo that focuses on the Quick Draw.


We watched Samurai Rebellion, with the great Tosohiro Mifune. Vince’s explanation of sword etiquette really opened our understanding of the film, especially the unspoken subtleties associated with sword placement near friends and enemies in social settings.
