Closing in
I shot this though my windshield while driving on a storm chase in Holdrege, Nebraska, in 2005. This is a massive wall cloud -- wall clouds are precursors to tornadoes -- hanging from a high-based supercell. About 2 minutes after this was shot, a weak tornado formed and moved east of the airport.
In the Storm Chaser photo essay.

I just love this! I lived in Colorado for 18 years of my life and I sure do miss the storms we would get there. This brings me back to those days that I loved so much.
