Pakistan once boasted world's largest ship breaking industry. Now that industry has shrunk considerably due to rising cost of everything. Yet, the impact on nature and human health due to lead and other poisonous metals and chemicals, which come along with this industry, has been considerable. Marine life has been poisoned beyond recognition; and the beach itself is not fit for swimming due to excessive chemicals.
