In 1,533 AD the St. Agustin Order constructed in Ocuituco, state of Morelos, Mexico, the historic building known as “Ex Convento de Santiago Apóstol”.

The first Convent in the Americas has a central garden which shows this unique fountain with fantastic beast heads created by indigenous sculptors, who followed orders of the clergymen to “interpret” animals the local inhabitants have simply never seen before.
