The celling tiles you see once belonged to an elementary school in Royal Oak, MI. It was closed due to a decline in population in the town, which, despite what you may expect, is actually booming - a very popular place to live for young people. But the school board looked at the population projections and decided to go ahead with the closing and demolition anyway.
The person pictured actually attended the school in a classroom directly beneath where he is sitting.
