Thousands of fish carcasses line the shores of the Salton Sea. Rising algal blooms and the parasite dinoflagellate known as Amyloodinium ocellatum has led to the massive die-offs.

    quite a contrast with the feathers too. remember that Escher print "3 worlds"?
    this is like the death of three worlds. this would be at home under "human impact"too.
