I love j.C. I wrote a country hit which was used without my permission and had to be purchased by a Nashville "A" lister in the early 90's. I go to Nasville frequently. I was in Earnest Tubb's Music Shop standing next to Bill Anderson on a recent trip.
I think Cash rewrote the face of country music, and was an original "Rock-a-Billy" with Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

This concert was a sold out performance and the germans went crazy for him. They wouldn't let him off the stage and I must say he was at the height of his commercial fame and in great form. I had the opportunity to see and meet him in later years and got to shake his hand in Houston.
