Angel Placing Laurel Wreath
This sculpture is on an old headstone from the 1890's. I think the stone is probably granite, and it looks like it's starting to melt away with the passing of time. It's also peppered with some kind of black mildew, which gives it a great surface texture. Annapolis, MD 2006.
