Taken with the Nikon, 18-55mm f3.5 with modified magnifying glass attachment for the macro effect. The cherry was attached to a white Styrofoam piece with a sewing needle. It was then submerged in a rectangular vase filled with seltzer water. The Styrofoam was a bit larger than the vase so that it would create greater tension and wouldn't float; the tension made the Styrofoam piece bend/curve a bit. A laptop monitor with a picture of a polka dotted fabric was placed behind the vase to provide the background. Tone adjustments in post editing to brighten up the photo.
PS: Display compression from 2508x3650 seems to have messed up the background a bit, at least on my monitor...the full-size view has a much smoother background...grr
