There are hundreds of these man-made ponds, & they seem to attract thousands of Canada Geese. There are so many of these geese in some areas, that some people carry umbrellas.

A lot of these birds don't even bother with a migration. They just stick around all winter. These ponds have a real impact on nature, but I suppose as long as the geese are OK with it it's OK. As long as there's enough to eat, these birds probably could care less about the shopping carts in the lake.
