The guy in this photograph has it all wrong! If the USA was an evil empire, He would not have the freedom of speech. If someone tried this in the Middle East against his government, he would be shot.

"Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear." - Harry S. Truman - and this is where President Bush tried to take us. He has reduced our civil liberties, tried to legitimize torture, called people unAmerican if they protested the invasion of Iraq which has been proven to have nothing to do with 9/11 AND to not have WMDs. This fellow was protesting Bush's version of America, not America. Ultimately, Bush would have tried to shut this down, as Nixon had hoped to do. Long live protest.
