Argentina, Formosa, Chaco Region. One of the big conservation problems in the Chaco region is deforestation. Here is a specimen of a Quebracho Tree (Schinopsis balansae) that has been chopped down. The color of the wood gives the name to this species in spanish, Quebracho colorado (red quebracho).
