The Abandoned Fish Factory
A huge, eerie and empty structure known as the Crab Island Fish Factory sits on an island off of the marsh and across the bay of Tuckertown, NJ. This empty factory has stood abandoned since the collapse of the local fishery in 1972. After the closing of the Fish Factory, it was intended that the island would become part of a state park. To date this has not happened because of issues regarding environmental cleanup.
