David, this is amazing. It's like a still from a Jerry Bruckheimer movie!

Thanks. Seanie, yes, it's still there. It was blown ashore during a gale and it's beginning to look as though it will be difficult to refloat, not least because we don't have any especially high tides in the near future. I suspect, though may well be wrong, that it will be there for quite some time yet.

I think it's not a wise thing to say maybe, but I haven't seen any other pics on this subject and yet I think this one should win
I also like landscapes better than 'people' in pictures, so that's also why I like this one very much
And, the few people here are tiny little creatures, compared to the ship, but the impact of what people do is still so heavy...

it kills me how much i love the composition of this photo though would love to see a version of it that's untouched, with no photoshop. Especially a photo like this, which is very, very rare.
Maybe next time. -

"What TO Upload:
Photos that you took, with minimal photoshopping or other digital alteration"
Just one person's opinions. -

This is great shot! The digital dark room is as necessary as any dark room used by any photographer; exposure and saturation are totally acceptable in this case, in which you just can appreciate the results, I recommend to the person who wrote the comment before me to reconsider his "personals opinions" and rather shoot than write...

Astonishing (To Sailor: This photos is not overly PS I dont think. In fact I think the tone created and the vignetting adds to the mystery and the drama of the photo)

This is by FAR one of the best examples of HDR I've ever seen. It's so subtle, I wouldn't have known it was HDR unless you told me.
As to the image- WOW. It's so unsettling. Amazing that it's still there. You captured the mood exceedingly well. -
