The Beach

This was taken at North Gare Beach near Middlesbrough in the UK. It is an idyllic sandy little cove surrounded by a power station, a nuclear reactor, several dioxide plants and a few radioactive US ships awaiting dismantlement. People just seem to treat it like a normal beach.

Fantastic shot. Like Rick said, it's almost depressing. Great job.

Despite the Gare being surronded by all the works it's still my favoruite bit of Redcar beach. If you were to continue moving right in this shot you'd come to a road and on the other side of the road are the most idyllic sand dunes and fishermen huts you've ever seen.
