I feel this is pretty direct for the human impact theme. You take a beautiful blue sky and build over it with cranes and condos. It is inevitable. This photo documents the beginning.

My kids and I counted 7 of these cranes while going down I-405 toward Beaverton yesterday. I commented on what a shame it was that you can't get a good shot of Portland without a crane in it! Really takes away from the beauty of the landscape.
