Half Dome
Yosemite National Park (California).
The day I shot this photo of Half Dome, the sun did not come out for the entire day. When my wife and I were returning from the Yosemite Falls early in the evening, the sunlight broke into the overcast sky just the right time to lit Half Dome for a brief moment...

Thank you so much Celine, Antje, Cobie, May, and Linda for your kind words--I really am happy that you love this photo as much as I do! The day after I shot this photo, I had a seasonal allergy attack so my wife and I had to cut our trip short... Fortunately, I was able to get a photo of the Yosemite Falls on a clear day before we left the park.
