The thing with dots is the shower curtain in a store window -- the white rays are a design painted on the window.
So, am I taking orders? :) Aaron you can get your own, it's on Yonge Street :) -

Hey James.
No mysteries. DOF really. The blue/black/whie dots and orange,red/blue stripes are shower curtains at the back of a widow display. The white rays are painted on the window. The shower curtains are about four/five feet behind the window. I focused on the dotted shower curtain and kept the aperture stopped down enough to keep both rays and curtains in focus. The other colours are reflections in the window from across the street (or in one case, my coat, reflected in the window). -
