My Aunt had a stroke a few years ago now, she had to give up her hobby, folk art.
I still have a gorgeous collection she painted especially for my 21st year. A beautiful Treasure Chest with my name on one end and the years of my birth and 21st on the other. On top of the chest a dove and inside asipler one with words of dedication. These came with a handpainted card. For Christmas that same year, in honour of my pregnancy she painted an egg with the year on it and a napkin ring to match it (which symbolizes the circle of life) We celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday this month. So it's been a while and these things still have pride of place on my mantelpiece.

Funny! I wrote Scottie when I got her books for Christmas MANY MANY years ago. Very nice woman! Thought I recognized her flowers.
