This was taken at a nature reserve during a game drive in Gauteng Province, South Africa. At about twenty feet away the lions didn’t seem to pay attention to us as we watched the lioness tease the lion as he concentrated on her. Attraction is an animal instinct.

This almost looks posed but you probably wouldn't have been around to post it if it were. ;)
I'm very curious as to the focal length you used on your telephoto lens; the depth of field is perfect.
The lion's tenderness shines through and his mane and face look as though a hair and make-up artist were there prior to the shoot. You made a hard-to-capture photo of an intimate and loving moment between the king and queen of the jungle. This beauty deserves an award.
