TWO WISE MEN
These two gentlemen can be found any given Sunday outside the Cathedral in downtown Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I honestly do not remember their names now, but it was a privilege and joy to talk with them about many things. You can never really know a country/people until you interact with them. Sometimes it takes more than one or two tries before they open up. And it cuts both ways. I was able to enlighten them about assistance the US has given to Honduras for more than 46 years, through USAID and the Peace Corps -- they thought it all came from Japan.
My time chatting with them was time very well-spent and I left knowing that I had made two more friends for America. bam!
