Perch Rock Lighthouse
Spent a few hours at New Brighton yesterday. Really windy, sand everywhere, struggling to stand up at times (in fact my tripod fell over a couple of times, gave up on it in the end). All that wind and sand blowing around, good for the soul, bad for the camera. I can always buy another camera.
Aboout the exposure, it's a single exposure but I did two different b+w conversions and then erased the burnt out highlights in the upper one (as such). I also used a masked curves layer on the waves. The blue toning is simply the auto levels for the original colour image.
Also for some reason it looks a lot brighter here on JPG, must be their conversion process?
Thanks for any comments, appreciate the feedback.

Wow - very nice image. There is so much wave action and the clouds are fantastic. Well done.

I keep coming back to this ... I think its marvelous. The dramatic sky, the wonderful light and the brilliance of the mono-toning making for such a striking image... bravo!
