Vancouver, Canada. For some the widespread construction in preparation for the coming Olympics is a welcome sight, a reminder that in just 2 years time we will play host to the entire world.
For others it represents a fundamental change in the city, one towards big business, commercialization, and a loss of individuality.

I think Vancouver is surrounded by such unbelievable natural beauty, the city could have done a better job at integrating its development into the surroundings. The oceanfront skyscrapers really couldn't be uglier and it looks like there's more on the way, yippeeee. Not the best use of one of Canada's most picturesque urban loctionas...
