This is a Polaroid of the Providence Fruit Terminal Building that is being demolished as I type this description. As usual, I was lucky enough the have been able to photograph it the day before the demolision started. Seems to be my luck for such subject mater.
This building was purchased by a developer for a VERY low price in regards that the developer wpould restore the building. As usual, they did not do so. And in return the developer was given an Emergency Demolition permit because the abandoned building was seem as a safety issue. Wow, what a shocker.
Shot using Polaroid 672 Black & White Instant Pack film. ISO 400 with 90 secs developing time. This was also scanned in color so that I was abale to keep the discoloration of the developer along the edges. I felt that it gave off an "old" feel to the image.
Holgaroid 9 of 10 from Pack film.
In the story My Precious Polga.
