Waylands Smithy

This is one of the standing stones at the gateway to Waylands Smithy - a neolithic long barrow on the ridgeway (an ancient pathway in the south of England). The name is based on a legend - if you left your horse at the opening of the barrow with some money overnight, when you came back the next day the horse would have new shoes!
