A powerful Tasman groundswell slams into The Gap, near Auckland, New Zealand. Occasionally, this chute-like formation of rock will focus the energy of a set wave and launch a huge cascade of water skywards. It's awe-inspiring, even from the safety of the beach, 300ft away.
