Bhogali Bihu
Residents and children of Pamuhi village preparing Assamese traditional “Meji” (thached hut and tomb made with dry straw after harvesting) for the community night- feast of “Bhogali Bihu” on the bank of Deepor Beel in the outskirts of Guwahati on Friday, January 11, 2008. Assamese people celebrate “Bhogali Bihu” after harvesting as apart of their traditional ritual. The celebration will statrt on 14th January all through Assam in northeast India.
