Did you read Ring of Bright Water, or see the movie? I saw it as a child in Scotland, of all places, and have always imagined I would live in a small house with an otter huffing and hahing at my feet. They seem so smart, with that crafty edge peculiar to thieves and antiques sellers.

This is a charming portrait of my favorite animal!
The colors behind are similar to that on the snout which accentuate nature's greatest gift to the wild animals... camouflage!! The droplets on the whiskers tell us that you must have had a good show with this charming fellow.
The river otter has captivated my heart for a mere 38 years!
