I think having this foto untitled adds more to the fotograph than if it had a title. We live in a world full of opinions and discrimination and having the foto untitled gives more insight into the viewpoints of the viewer than the actual fotograph.
On another note- I love this foto, you did an amazing job capturing the beauty that is this woman.
Well done! -

Thank you all for your comments. Kathryn I think you're right about keeping it untitled. Leaving the viewer to decide adds to the mystery of it. Thanks again everyone for checking it out!

wow. i can't believe how many cheap shot names came up. i thought most of us were artists with more vision and scope for beauty than that. she put herself out there for a piece of art... i agree with "untitled" and a backstory. a picture is worth a thousand words but maybe this one needs a few more for the narrow minded who need depth spoonfed to them. sorry, it's an awesome image and i'm just amazed at the response...

Cheap shots are what you were asking for by putting it in the "WTF" theme, and then asking for a title.

Not too many people are willing to take their clothes under normal circumstances, this woman has courage! I know that i would never pose nude for a camera even my own, so with all of the insecurities that she probably already has about her body image, why add more by even suggesting a title like fat or the likes. this is an image that not only captures her bravery, but also reveals how narrow the minds of others really are.

For titles, if I were going to pick one of the suggestions, I think Amanda (third suggestion from the top) nailed it. However, I do agree with the untitled suggestion and justification. Kudos to the model. Brave, bold and clearly in pain. If that isnt an artistic statement nothing is.

A beautiful shot of a courageous model. I like that you kept it "untitled" and thus neutral, leaving the viewer to approach this art based on their own positive or negative perception.

Not having a title is better. It forces the viewer to wonder about and analyze the intentions of the photographer. The suggested titles and comments here already show a variety of ways this could be interpreted. This is a very interesting piece.

I somehow keep coming back to this image. It's striking in it's simplicity, impact, power and beauty. Even our so-called enlightened fellow artist can't help but make crude comments about your model...now that's a powerful image. What is it about weight--particularly where it concerns women--that polarises men so much (usually Western men)? I find this image, and your model, artistic, bold and beautiful. And I for one think this image would "work" even with a skinny subject, so it's not "the weight factor" that pulls me to this particular shot or makes me like me. Nice portfolio piece, Reed--it certainly seems to polarize people. :)
