I've heard of mistakes on film, but mistakes in digital? My Kodak DCS 520 has a picture success rate of 50-60% meaning the remaining percentage has these strange distortions where the picture is scrambled or totally white. Sometimes they come out looking cool so I've decided to keep those and put them up, rather than hate my camera for not being able to take perfect images all the time I'll just make an art out of it.

People use plastic cameras all the time for their light leaks and vignettes, why not my digital camera's jumbled "binary leaks"

That's really weird. I have never heard of digital cameras doing that. I thought they just up and died. I think it's a good idea to keep the messed up ones - it's sort of an exciting surprise!

I have a Kodak DCS at work, and I've seen such trouble. Alas, in the field of work, I can't do anyhting else but hate the camera ;)
You're right about people use plastic cameras for their light leaks, this is why I've bought mine !
But digital can do it "good" too, and you're proving it to us :)

It's creepy when you think about why you put it into this theme, someone else is looking into our lives, without our permission!

How COOL!!! A serendipitous glitch. You should put together a series of "binary leak" photographs and submit to jpg for publication.
