Cemetary Ridge is the background. It now has markers and monuments. This lonely canon sits in Devils Den where the Southern snipers picked off Northern Generals. The tall monuments are where they fell.

This had to be Black & White. It was shot on T Max 400 and processed in T Max developer A medium green filter was used. The camera was a Leica R* with 35-70 VarioElmar F4 lens. The focal lenght was 35mm and the camera was handheld at 1/60th second at F8.

Half the monuments are Westerly granite. This shot is one of the best I've seen of Gettysburg.
