When God paints a mural....
This shot was taken in 2004 at Metor Crater National Park, near Flagstaff Arizona, USA. I will post the exposure setting later when I can look them up.
Wind was gusting in excess of 60 mph. with a severe storm getting ready to blow through. I have another shot called "WET PAINTed Desert" that I got later that day when that storm was breaking up and we had travel the 40 miles or so over to Painted Desert National Park. I will post it later when I am on a machine that has that file on it.

Thanks for the other links! I really like the last one from Jim Hayes. On the day we were there you could not wear a hat wth a brim of any kind, like Jim has the two subjects in his wearing. The wind was so strong that it even took baseball caps for a ride!

Thanks everyone! That day out in the middle of the desert with that incredible wind stays as fresh in my memory as if it happened only yesterday....and it was in the spring of 2004!

I will never forget standing in this window in...1969! October! In the parking lot was an old VW van with all our belongings including two dogs. One ate a motel room a night for 18 days as we drove Rt. 66 to California and our fortune.
