Kinn's Woods, in Clifton Park, NY, was just up the street from where I grew up. It was our nearest bit of "nature". However, the wood was planted as a public works project during the Great Depression. When I was young, only 15 years ago, the straight lines in which the trees were planted were still obvious. Now, the undergrowth has caught up--and the appearance of untouched nature is almost complete.

This is beautiful. I am from Scotland but have lived in year-round hot countries for 5 years and this made me long for the freedom of wild forests and the silence of snow. Thank you.
