Resale Treasure
I purchase most of my clothing from thrift and consignment shops. The vintage nightgown hanging over my bedroom door is an example of one of those purchases. Shopping resale is pure recycling. When I purchase used items I have not been responsible for the obscene amount of electricity, power and fossil fuels used in the manufacture and transport of newly constructed clothing and other items available for resale. These items, instead of ending up in landfills, are re-purposed by those in need. I also donate my own clothing and no longer needed household items. Most thrift shops are run by charitable organizations, so by purchasing items there I also support a good (usually local) cause. It is a small gesture on my part, but it does easy my personal burden on the environment.

Very nice effect on this photo. It goes to show that great subjects are all around us if , like you, we know what to do with them. This style and color are very reminescent of David Hamiltons work. Very nice indeed.
