For me this shot captures what I enjoy most about Venice, the quieter alleys that reveal unexpected views and activity framed by the centuries patina on walls that have seen so much.

It took a lot of shots and a lot of waiting to get.

    Great shot! Yes, it is amazing how you can be walking down a small, quiet alley in Venice, and then all of a sudden you walk out of it and you're standing in front of some fabulous scene or view. For me, too, that was the greatest thing about Venice. You captured this beautifully.

    I absolutely agree, beautiful!. There four months ago and seems like yesterday, everywhere you turn is another image to capture.
