Cheeses and Marry
Wedding Band on Swiss Cheese--
Canon Powershot G9
ISO 80 -- RAW Format
1/60th sec @ F/3.5
Not quite consistent with the theme definition but I thought I would show a picture after 43 years of matrimony. I felt I had to throw in my two cents.... :) :)

How "cheesy" can you get? Great title!

I can get pretty cheesy without much effort! :)

Such a perfect title!
If not for the repetition of "hole" imagery, I'd have thought a wedding band would feel more at home on a pile of Swiss Cheese. That's so much more akin to marriage, is it not? (lol)

Anita -- So funny; it is Swiss cheese; unfortunately it was domestic and the holes did not show on the slices remaining on hand. Great observation!
--Best wishes, Jan -

Ha ha ha...irreverance and deconstruction of conventional forms worthy of a Frank Zappa etude. Great image and title Jan.

This is so funny Jan as a WTF entry - got me overanalyzing it. What could cheese and wedding bands represent? In a good marriage, like a fine wine and an aged cheese. it grows better. In a bad one, it just becomes more smelly.

Jan Hoffman said (31 May 2008):
Natalie -- Thanks for the Cheeses and Marry comment; I really roared on the smelly option; it never dawned on me that "holy" matrimony (the Swiss) had that potential -- but you are so right! Wonderful insight that you have.
To this day I am not sure what I had in mind when I did this picture, other than the bad (possibly blasphemous) pun for a title.
After 41 years of marriage, I cannot imagine how I would have survived without such a wonderful wife; I am blessed!
