one of my best friends has been a single parent the majority of his son's 19 years. over these years their bond and love for each other has grown and nurtured. but as with all healthy relationships, there exists an element of separation.

my friend experienced deep sadness ~ as many parents do ~ when his son went off to college. now in his sophomore year, the son is experiencing a tremendously fulfilling life academically as well as creatively. he continues to pursue and excel in his love of singing and recently gave a "performance of a lifetime."
