The Color of Wood
Old Chattel Houses
St. George, Barbados
Series: Walking From Jopya Drive to Byde Mill
(07-29-2006)

Wood is wood, even if it is decaying. And the beauty this house still posses is remarkable. However, a little fixer upper is in order.

Some see broken glass, damaged wood, and peeling paint. I see a lovely old chattel house that has gone by the wayside, dilapidated with age.

All of Keith's photographs of Barbados are amazing. I love all the old architecture on the island. One day his photos will be all that is left of this era.
