It has been a rough year for my sweet little mom. She has experienced enough pain to last a lifetime in the last 6 months.
We held a birthday party for her yesterday. I made cupcakes and put a #1 candle in one of them - her first birthday. A rebirth. A second chance.
This photo is her enjoying that first bite.
