Marienplatz - Munich, Germany

At ground level, Marienplatz has been the central square of Munich since 1158. Below ground, the Marienplatz U-Bahn is one of the busiest subway stations in the city. The station was finished in 1971 in preparation of the now infamous 1972 Munich Summer Olympics.
