Georgetown Drive-In. State Road 64. Georgetown, IN.
This was taken while visiting my Grandmother in Indiana last summer. I was driving and noticed that this old drive-in theater is still up and running so I had to pull over and take some photos. I used to see movies here as a kid, like in the back of a station wagon with blankets and all that. Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, E.T....you name it, I probably saw it here. Brought back a lot of memories.
I'm glad to see that the drive-in movie is still around in the digital age. There's something great about a family in a car with a speaker in the window, watching a movie on a big screen in a field somewhere. I hope that when I have kids, I have the chance to take them here.
