All trails lead to Deer Haven
Follow those animal trails long enough and this is where you end up. Deer Haven - a haven indeed considering the dry and desert-like landscape of the rest of the Badlands. The moon in the sky was the icing on the cake.

Thanks all! This was a 2-mile/2-hour hike straight west of Conata Basin Road in the Upper Unit of the 'Lands. If you stop at the northernmost lookout, you would be looking over this landscape, albeit from much further away.
