Berlin Cowgirl

She was standing very tall over a busy intersection in Berlin, a city I visited for the first time in 2005. I liked the way, from this angle, she was wedged between the two building facades and became part of the architecture rather than simply an advertisement.

Laurie Anderson does a great performance piece on this very idea -- about a dream she had where all the big people on billboards started walking around the city. :)
