Red Bull Soapbox Race 2007 #2
This year's Red Bull Soapbox Race was held in my backyard, the East Side of Providence, RI on College Hill. Last year I lived just a couple blocks down from this spot! It was an amazing time and I was lucky to be accompanied by two of my favorite new cameras: my Holga 120CFN and my brand new Diana+ from The Lomographic Society. There is no better way to capture these fanatics than with a Lomo camera!
I used my new Diana+ for the candid shots of the crews in the pits and my Holga with high speed film for the race shots. I got a lot of looks from photographers with their D-SLR's! The pit crews were very happy to pose for my unique cameras.
In this photo, The Molar Roller team. I included this photo to show how fanatical the costumes can get at this event. A purple and pink tooth fairy?!?

Created using my brand new Diana+ with AGFA Portrait XPS 160. Negative scanned with an HP Scanjet 4890. No digital manipulation used!
